Best of Cleveland 2015: Giant Shoe Box

After dropping $110 to $250 for the latest Kyrie Irving or LeBron James sneakers, we take our shoe-collecting habit seriously. So we can kick it with Your Sole Vault's sneaker cabinets ($450-$600) painted in colors and patterns that echo actual Nike or Air Jordan shoeboxes as a way to keep our cherished pairs fresh and organized. Carpenter and sneakerhead James Howells built the first of the all-maple cabinets in January for a friend and has since gone on to make versions for Irving, James and Joe Haden using their own customized logo. You don't have to be a superstar to own one though. Howells' shoeboxes come in three different sizes and feature a hinged lid that opens to reveal a drawer and a shelf capable of holding eight to 16 pairs of shoes. And if you're a sneaker collector with a modest haul, Howells has seen people use the boxes for other things as well. "I've seen people use them for coffee tables or blanket holders," he jokes.
