Dive into Coastline Bowls' exotic fruit dish filled with hot-pink pitaya, granola and fruit from the West Side Market.

Tricia Reddy has people stopping in their tracks. The curiosity behind Coastline Bowls’ hot-pink pitaya bowls ($8) has customers of the pop-up cafe clamouring for a taste of the superfruit. “They’re like, What is that?” says Reddy, who was inspired by superfruit cafes while living in Southern California two years ago. The exotic fruit — high in magnesium, iron, calcium, fiber and vitamins A and C — has a mild, kiwilike flavor. When frozen, its vibrant flesh takes on a smoothie consistency. Each of Reddy’s creations, such as the Huntington Beach (California, not Bay Village), are topped with granola and fruits from the West Side Market. The fan favorite comes with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, mangos and pineapples — a mix inspired by the colors of the SoCal beach’s landmark pier. “I wanted to find some way to bring my California experience home for me to share with my friends and family,” she says. facebook.com/coastlinebowls
