Before the Hilton Cleveland Downtown opened, Cuyahoga County held meetings to discover what Clevelanders wanted. The result is Bar 32 — a place to gather with friends 32 floors above the town. Northeast-facing floor-to-ceiling windows showcase Lake Erie, Mall C and FirstEnergy Stadium. “It’s about being able to reconnect with your city from a different perspective and see how beautiful it really is,” says Bar 32 manager Shannon Smith. 100 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland, 216-413-5000

You’ll want to linger at Coastal Taco in the Flats East Bank. Boats and kayaks glide through the Cuyahoga River while you lounge on the nautical-themed restaurant’s massive patio and watch the sunset. Sure, you’ll probably down a few tacos and sip on margaritas too. “Its like being on vacation,” says service manager Ashley Bailey. “Cleveland really needed this.” 1146 Old River Road, Cleveland, 216-727-0158, coastaltacobar.com

Few places can boast a 360-degree background as impressive as this NorthCoast Harbor hot spot. The two floors of glass, wood and metal ensure you’ll always have a stunning view to accompany its Latin-inspired dishes. “I actually like the southwest part of the building,” says co-owner Zack Hirt. “I can see the city and where all the boats are. I can look to my right and see Voinovich Park.” 1000 E. Ninth St., Cleveland, 216-737-1000, cleveland.nuevomodmex.com
