Best Of Cleveland (4)

by The Editors | Jan. 1, 1900 | 5:00 AM

The Winner

Anthony DeBenedictis, Gary Ann Hair Studio, Mayfield Village

The Scenario

We walked into Gary Ann Hair Studio with a challenge that was perhaps unfair: After getting a bad cut at a different salon, we attempted to fix our own hair and ended up with even more disastrous results. Anthony DeBenedictis was unfazed. He listened as we explained how our hair had to be layered exactly right to disguise a slightly receding hairline (a feat that very few stylists ever perform to our satisfaction). Thirty minutes later, we left with the best cut we've ever had. Cost: $28

The Runners-up

Suzanne Masony, John Robert's Hair Studio & Spa, Mayfield Heights
Carmen Soto, Ichiban Salon and Day Spa, Westlake
Antonio Velotta, Dino Palmieri, Beachwood
Rocco Vitalone, Rocco's Hair Design, Mentor
