Booze Clues

We face off against Mike Polk Jr. in his new drinking game.

by Jason Brill | Nov. 20, 2015 | 5:00 AM

with the holidays in full swing, comedian Mike Polk Jr. usually has a decent buzz going until New Year's Day. Naturally, he's co-created a drinking game, Cleveland Drinks. Available this month, the Kickstarter-funded game lets players draw quirky, civic-centric cards until the deck of 52 is gone. Ahead of his Dec. 4 album release party at the Agora Theatre and Ballroom for his new Baseless Arrogance: Live from a Bowling Alley CD, we sat down with Polk and some pints of Guinness for a few rounds of the game.

MIKE POLK jr.: Can you tell who wrote that one? Spite.
We drink.
And I have to watch for your cue on that one. I would have been Chris Bosh in that scenario.

ROUND 2

MP: Hopefully people will really do that, and they can click it and scroll through to see other people playing.
JASON BRILL: I'm going to do it, and you're going to be in it.
MP: That's great.
MP: I like this card, but it's one of my least favorite things to hear. What a D-bag alarm. I like it because it's a card that's in effect for the rest of the game.
Later while we are in the bathroom, Polk screams.
MP: Did you hear me say, "O-H"?
JB: That was you?
MP: Drink up.
