Forget about pushing that pesky cart around the aisle. Local grocery stores are getting into the home delivery game by offering quick options so all you have to do is click, pay and eat. Here’s how three local chains stack up.  

Acme
Costs: $10 to $15 depending on location, plus a $4.95 shopping fee. There’s an additional $5 fee for orders under $50. Area: The Akron-based chain offers delivery from its Akron, Hudson, Norton, Kent, Cuyahoga Falls, Tallmadge, Canton, Stow and North Canton stores. perks  Unlike grocers who outsource delivery to a third-party, Acme uses its own drivers to make deliveries. Giant Eagle
Costs: $12.95 per order, with no minimum purchase. The first delivery fee is waived. Heinen’s
Costs: $5.99 for orders more than $35 and $9.99 for order under $35. For $14.99 a month or an annual membership for $149, customers can get unlimited deliveries. Area: Most of Cuyahoga County, some of Lake, Geauga and Lorain counties. perks  Almost everything in store is available for delivery — even hot, prepared food.
