The collection of more than 100 Italian, French, Californian and natural wines may be the star at Lakewood’s Humble Wine Bar, but the simple menu of small plates, charcuterie and Neapolitan-style pizzas play a pretty great second fiddle. Visible from behind the bar, the subway-tiled, gas-fired oven toasts the menu’s more traditional items, such as Margherita  and

soppressata

, and daily specials that tickle adventurous palates.

Try this: The prosciutto and fig pizza, which includes three different cheeses. “It’s the perfect balance of sweet, salty and smoky,” says General Manager Sara Concheck. 15400 Detroit Ave, Lakewood, 216-767-5977, humblewinebar.com
