Heat up your relationship with reservations at the Glass Bubble Project’s date night. Each couple makes a pair of forged-in-fire items, choosing between a beer mug and a wine glass. An instructor helps you through the three-hour class, which includes how to gather the melted glass from the furnace and blow it into shape. Make matching pieces, choose from more than 10 colors or surprise each other by making one another’s glasses. “It’s like a roller coaster,” says owner Mycal Kaplan. “It’s scary, but really fun. When it’s over, you just want to do it again.” 2421 Bridge Ave., Cleveland, 216-696-7043, glassbubbleproject.com

After: Cool off with a treat from Mitchell’s Ice Cream. We suggest the Cleveland Brownie Sundae, a hot and cold combo of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, roasted pecans, homemade whipped cream and a Bordeaux cherry all atop a fresh, warm brownie. 1867 W. 25th St., Cleveland, 216-861-2799, mitchellshomemade.com
