Navigate the watery heart of the city with Rock and Dock at North Coast Harbor Marina’s paddleboat rentals. Beside the downtown skyline backdrop, paddle in tandem to explore the alcove beneath the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, the backside of the Great Lakes Science Center, the William G. Mather Steamship and Voinovich Bicentennial Park. The 53-slip marina also welcomes boats as large as 125-foot yachts from Canada, Buffalo and Detroit. It’s a great way to show your date Cleveland’s high points from the water. “You don’t have to be always paddling,” says communications coordinator Terri Ford. “It’s really romantic to just sit out there and float, take in the view and just enjoy each other.” 1020 E. Ninth St., Cleveland, 216-804-1152, rockanddock.com

After: Gaze over the waters you just conquered from Nuevo Modern Mexican’s outdoor patio while noshing on the lengua tacos, made with tequila-braised beef tongue, or something simpler such as tacos al pastor. 1000 E. Ninth St., Cleveland, 216-737-1000, cleveland.nuevomodmex.com
