Slick back your hair, fire up your hot rod and take your Sandy or Danny to Midway Twin Drive-In Theatre for an old-school night of summer lovin’.

The two-screen theater has four nightly showings of Hollywood’s hottest blockbusters from the latest superhero film to that cuddly rom-com (so you’ll actually want to watch the flick too). But be sure to arrive at least an hour early for the 9:30 p.m. showing for a prime spot and some quality time watching the sunset, says owner John Knepp.

“Some people come two hours ahead of time just to throw a football around and get some things from the concession stand,” he says.

For a true slice of Americana, try the concession stand’s house-made sloppy sauce, a condiment that combines nacho cheese and Coney sauce that’s served atop hot dogs, fries and more. “It’s all very, very good junk food,” Knepp says. Or for $8 per car, pack your favorite grub, spread a picnic across the hood of your car and have a blockbuster night. $20 per car, 2736 state Route 59, Ravenna, 330-296-9829, funflick.com/midway

Before: Play mini-golf ($6) for bragging rights at Birdie Shack Putt-R-Golf. If you get a hole-in-one on the 18th hole, your round is free. 2567 state Route 59, Ravenna, 330-678-3838
