Drink This Now: Parnell's Pub's Fancy Irish Lad

If green beer isn’t your thing, try your luck with Parnell’s Pub’s Fancy Irish Lad cocktail, a boozy combo of cola, vodka, Kahlua and Guinness. “A lot of people claim to be Irish that day,” says Declan Synnott, owner of the pub with locations in Playhouse Square and Cleveland Heights. “The mixture of all these different drinks — vodka from Poland, Kahlua from Mexico and Guinness from Ireland — is kind of like that, with all these nations’ drinks coming together.”
Make it at home:
Stir 1.5 ounces Watershed Distillery vodka, 1.5 ounces Kahlua and 4 ounces of Pepsi in an 8-ounce glass. Top off with a splash of Guinness to create a creamy head.
