Let your true party animal shine at the annual Cleveland Zoological Society's fundraiser.

Get ready to party like an animal — with the animals. Hosted by the Cleveland Zoological Society on Aug. 2 from 7 p.m. to midnight, Twilight at the Zoo brings out the wild side of typical zoo programming with 18 live bands performing energizing covers and original music on 18 stages scattered throughout the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. With enormous light displays, glow sticks, all-you-can-eat food stations and a VIP party with dishes from Cleveland’s top chefs, it’s bound to be the outdoor party event of the season. “It is such a different feel to see 183 acres of [the zoo] lit up and energized for an entire night,” says Sarah Crupi, the Cleveland Zoological Society’s interim executive director. “It’s hard to leave — you don’t want to go home at midnight.” 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, 216-635-3329, clevelandzoosociety.org/twilight
