Words. They’re not just for professionals anymore.
Here are a few of the local bloggers we’ve been reading:

Never trust skinny people to recommend food.

Slogan

... with all due hardness.
Those for whom culinary bliss skews more pierogi than pâté, more heavy cream than crème brûlée (If you got excited about the expansion at Melt Bar and Grilled, it’s for you).

Target Audience

Indie rock-loving twentysomethings (and those of us a decade older who love the music, but are starting to sour on a 9 p.m. start time for a weeknight, three-band show.)
Mark will lambaste an East Side spot’s “half-assed” $16 chicken breast, then weigh the corned beef sandwich he picked up at Harvard Deli (1 pound, 3.2 ounces).

The Hook

Bill, a Lakewood-based music fanatic, weeds through the morass of indie rock bands and finds the best stuff so you don’t have to.
He shares recipes of tasty dishes he’s made at home, like a recent batch of panzenella (mmmm ... bread salad).

What’s In It For You

Free downloads (usually at least one for each post) that’ll keep your iPod stocked, and links to 40 of the city’s most relevant bands.
Three to four a week, but there are routinely a trio of posts during a single 24-hour period.
