I visited Flip Side ("Beefed Up," June 2011) for the first time, and it was phenomenal. The wait was pretty long — nearly an hour and a half — but the food soothed all our waiting wounds. I loved the date milkshake with bacon vodka.

Most find this a farce ("Silver Spoon Winners," May 2011). Chains ... ballot stuffing ... corporate groups ... payola ... business relationships ... and simple foofaraw ... reminds us of WMMS winning every year ... pah-lease.

Deagan's Kitchen & Bar is great bar food and beer ("Silver Spoon Winners," May 2011). It pales in comparison to Chinato and Dante.
