Campaigning Starts Now
I feel you were reaching to choose a group who plays Counting Crows as the Best ’70s Cover Band in Cleveland (“Best Of,” October 2009). They shouldn’t even be included in that category. I’m guessing you’ve never made a trip to see Funkology play. This group is truly the best ’70s cover band in Cleveland. Not only do they play music that actually fits the time reference, but they are also extremely talented. You should come check them out at Bilo’s in Strongsville on Oct. 24. I guarantee you will be impressed and ready to add them to your “Best Of” list next year.

Editor’s Note: As we noted in the article, the band we honored, Skinny Moo, plays music from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. We recognized the band for its ’70s repertoire.
Not a Resident of Pittsburgh
A recent news article stated that President Obama chose Pittsburgh for the recent G20 summit because it symbolizes what America is all about. It is a city that has reinvented itself from a steel town and has embraced high-tech industries and green-technology initiatives. It is unlike Cuyahoga County and Cleveland whose leaders have no vision for the city. Our leaders and the unions live in the past insisting that manufacturing will come back. They have continually convinced voters and celebrate themselves with dinners and banquets, blinded to what is going on around them. They remind us of Nero, who fiddled while Rome burned.
