Let your true colors shine at the fourth annual Pride in the CLE June 1. The inclusive event has a parade, live performances, giveaways and more. Free Mom Hugs Ohio is coming to offer embraces to anyone in need of a squeeze. “We just want everybody to know that they are loved and accepted for who they are,” says chapter leader Amy Lowe. “So many members of the LGBTQ+ community don’t have that love and support and affirmation from their parents,” Lowe says. That’s why she and other members are going to almost all of the Pride events in Ohio, to accept and love others with open arms. “A hug has so much power and it can do so much. It just lets people know that they’re not alone,” says Lowe. 50 Public Square, Cleveland, lgbtcleveland.org
