As Eddie Cerino closes one chapter of his career by leaving Brecksville’s Eddie’s Creekside, he’s beginning another in Seven Hills. His latest venture, Eddie’s Pizzeria Cerino, offers moderately priced pizzas, pastas, salads and soups. “We wanted to put a fantastic pizza out there, and we felt that in the area that we’re in, there wasn’t anything else here,” says Ed Cerino Jr. “Business has been going well. It’s pretty much all we can ask for with the economy the way it is.” And customers at the former Eddie’s Creekside will also notice a change on the sign outside the restaurant. The place will now be known as Creekside Restaurant & Bar. The new Web address is creeksiderestaurant.com, but everything else will stay the same.
Under new ownership since November, the Boneyard Beer Farm in downtown’s Gateway neighborhood is now Forti’s Bourbon, Beer & Eatery. But the restaurant has undergone more than just a name change. “It doesn’t look anything like it used to,” says owner Chris Forti. There’s a new bar, more TVs, metal railings, and the skeleton décor is gone. There’s also more than 20 bourbons added to the 40 beers on tap. Forti plans to start regular bourbon tastings this year. The postgame crowd can still stop in for late-night eats with an expanded menu available until 2 a.m. with all items under $7.50.
