Michael Bowen kicked off his career selling tickets for the Cleveland Browns. While working his way through several positions, he attended law school at night. Recently, the 31-year-old served as campaign manager for Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson while taking a leave of absence from his current job as a second-year associate attorney with Taft.

“I do cartwheels every morning when I get up to go to work,” he says, adding that he loves the challenges his work brings.

Advice for other young professionals: “Networking is critical, especially in Cleveland. Do everything you can to get your name out there.”

Community matters: Bowen is involved with the Union Club of Cleveland Board of Emerging Leaders, a board member for the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve, the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning Board of Directors and Engage! Cleveland Board of Directors

Quick facts: Bowen will be married this September. He enjoys spending time with friends and playing tennis.
