This month’s oral history detailing the creation of American Greetings’ Care Bears (pg. 50) got us thinking: Which bear would we be if we could inhabit characters from the fun-loving bunch? With a little help from a BuzzFeed quiz (of course), here’s who each Cleveland Magazine staffer would be if they lived in the magical place called Care-a-Lot.

Maria Amador, art director: Love-a-Lot Bear
“I’m the most huggable person I know. Plus, pink and red is a pretty underrated color combo.”

James Bigley II, assistant editor: Cheer Bear
“For me, every day is a gay day, and I’m a good vibes-only kind of guy.”

Jason Brill, associate editor: Good Luck Bear
“Having a four leaf clover on my tummy can’t be bad, right? At least I’ll clean up at the casino.”

Steve Gleydura, editor: Tenderheart Bear
“I’m ‘the cariest of all the bears?’ That’s BS.”

Sheehan Hannan, assistant editor: Grumpy Bear
“Color me surprised.”
Charlee Ottersberg, associate art director: Bedtime Bear
“I need my beauty sleep to be able to say, ‘I woke up like this.’ ”

Kelly Petryszyn, associate editor: Funshine Bear
“Although a terrible BuzzFeed quiz said I’m Grumpy Bear because I like sour candy, I prefer to be Funshine Bear since I look on the bright side.”

Kim Schneider, managing editor: Tenderheart Bear
“He’s the leader. So I’m basically the LeBron James of Care Bears.”

Colleen Smitek, senior editor: Birthday Bear
“No one ever hid a present I couldn’t find or baked a cupcake I didn’t love.”
