Summer can't officially begin in our book until we pull up to a Swensons Drive In, flip on our car lights and ask the sprinting server, who dutifully runs to our window, for the famous Galley Boy ($3.05). The double cheeseburger's two house-made sauces — barbecue and tartar — create a sweet yet tart flavor you've likely never tasted on a burger before. "Sometimes people get thrown off a bit by the idea that there's tartar sauce on their cheeseburger, but really it all works well together," says Swensons' manager Julie Peteya. An added bonus? You'll never even have to leave your car. "It's full-service dining," Peteya says. "It's just a little bit different because our dining room is a parking lot."
