The East Side ballpark is home to a piece of Cleveland sports history — the Indians claimed the first championship in franchise history here in 1920.
Join other fathers and their kids as they run bases, take pictures, toss the ball around and explore the Baseball Heritage Museum.
The best part is that you can register for next year’s Father’s Day event where the park hopes to host the world’s largest game of catch and have it verfied by Guiness World Records.
“So many people have family members who remember League Park. The oldest generations remember going to games,” says Margaret Reardon, an administrator for the Baseball Heritage Museum. “Home plate is where it was back when Babe Ruth was playing here.”
