If you were bummed when the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach scrapped his Dec. 9 solo show at Cleveland’s House of Blues, hopefully you didn’t miss him with band mate Patrick Carney on the Late Show with David Letterman Dec. 8 and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Dec. 10 (above). The appearances, during which the Akron duo performed with hip-hop artists Mos Def and RZA, respectively, were in support of its newest project, Blakroc. The musical experiment finds the Keys collaborating with a slate of hip-hop artist on a self-titled album, which was released Nov. 27. It may also have the coolest merchandising tie-in to date: a custom Blakroc 2010 Chevy Camaro 2SS for sale via the Carl Black Automotive Group (for real). Along with a 500-watt sound system and tinted windows, the ride is emblazoned with the Blakroc logo and name on its floor mats, headrest, trunk and center console. Not even ZZ Top had a car this cool. blakroc.com
