Shake It Up (1)

Fact: You love ice cream, and you love a good cocktail. So it was only a matter of time before the two merged into a sweet and buzz-worthy treat. Cruise down the dessert menu at Metro Kitchen and Bar where they've got shakes (all $8) meant only for the 21-and-over crowd.

  1. Happy Clown: With cupcake ice cream and sprinkles that melt down the sides of the glass, sipping on the Happy Clown is like drinking a birthday cake. The added sweet amaretto? It's the icing on the shake.

  2. Irish Car Bomb: Irish coffee fans, this one's for you. It's a frozen version of the classic meal-ending drink. Coffee ice cream blends smoothly with Bailey's, malt and Jameson, which tends to settle at the bottom. So, be sure to use the spoon-tipped straw to stir things up.

  3. Nutella: Nutella fans will go nuts for this shake that drinks like a malt. It has the perfect balance of richness from vanilla ice cream and hazelnuttiness from a helping of Frangelico. Our advice: Go after the Nutella remnants caked to the sides of the metal cup in which it's served.
