When was the last time you pondered the role of water in your life? New York City's Eve Andrée Laramée is one of the artists who will examine that connection with the University of Akron's Synapse Center in GroundWater: Out of Sight/Site Out of Mind at the Sculpture Center starting Nov. 4. "I've been interested in the ways in which uranium mining, production of weapons and then the clean-up of these very toxic sites impact people's health and groundwater," Laramée says of her digital print and two videos.
