The most memorable experiences bring people together for two things: great food and even better vibes.
That was Carlos Singleton’s mission when he launched 2 Chefs And A Beat in 2018 as a series of pop-up music and food collaborations in which two chefs go head-to-head to create a menu that wows guests’ expectations.
“This gives me and the other chefs involved a chance to see and work in other kitchen environments that we might not normally work in,” says Singleton.
For each pop-up experience, Singleton and other local chefs collaborate on a menu, serving up dishes such as charcuterie lunchables, peri peri fried chicken or squid ink pasta while musical artist Coo Johnson sends out hip-hop beats from a stage.
On Oct. 11, Singleton, who cooks with fellow chef Kris Edwards is hosting his next event Oct. 11 at 8:30 p.m. at CODA in Termont, which will feature music from Oregon Space Trail of Doom, Coo Johnson and more.
