Bar beer pong
Going back to school never sounded so fun. Downtown Willoughby's 1899 Pub took the best part of college - the dorm parties - and plunked it into its upstairs bar. Replacing a pool table with two regulation-size beer pong tables, the bar has tempted us into more boozy pickup games than we'd like to admit. If your pong skills are out of whack, there are couches, a TV and a Nintendo Wii for hours of beer-fueled bowling or tennis. "We wanted to treat it like more of a college dorm room," says general manager David Socha. To keep the good times flowing, Socha brought in a Kegerator, since the bar's tap system doesn't extend to its second floor. "I wanted to get Natty Light," explains Socha, "because that's what a lot of college kids like." When the ubiquitous college beer wasn't available, he opted for Miller Lite. "We're trying to always do something different to make it fun for people," he says. 38228 Glenn Ave., Willoughby, 440-269-1899, 1899pub.com
