How I Motivate Others: I try to encourage people to be their best and as quickly as possible provide avenues for growth. I also try to share any knowledge I can and listen actively to any input or concerns.
Most Inspiring Person: The late Judy Rodgers of Zuni Cafe in San Francisco. Judy took a seasonal and local approach to food and became quite famous for using California’s small farms’ produce at its absolute peak.
Best Advice: If you truly want to be an accomplished chef, take it slow; don’t try to rush to the top. Study, absorb and practice, practice, practice. Experience what you can and learn by working with good people.
What Keeps You Up at Night: The chaotic state of our country and our inability to come together to solve climate change, health care for all and economic and racial injustice
Fun Fact: I could not cook my way out of a paper bag before I was 20.
