Since opening in Tremont this past summer, STEAK (2179 W. 11th St., 216-331-2724) has continued to win over fans thanks to its bold décor, playful vibe and all-inclusive price structure that combines salad, steak, sauce and a side for a single fee.
Next up for parent company Hangry Brands is a location in Chagrin Falls. Jason Beudert, President, says that he has just inked a deal to take over the Burntwood Tavern property (504 E Washington St.), which closed this spring after 15 years.
“We’re honored to join the incredible restaurant and bar scene of Chagrin Falls and to add our delicious steakhouse concept to this lineup,” Beudert says.
As the team did with the former Parallax property in Tremont, the Burntwood building – interior and exterior – will undergo a complete transformation.
“STEAK is not your parent’s steakhouse,” adds Beudert. “That includes, not only the food but also the decor and design. We’re excited to bring in the best trendy design elements of STEAK Tremont, but weave in others that make it feel like it fits Chagrin Falls.”
When it opens early next year, the restaurant will largely mirror the original in size, décor and menu. Steak meals start at $38 for the Certified Angus Beef top sirloin but diners can upgrade to a filet, ribeye and tomahawk. There is also a fish option. Meals begin with boxes of bottomless popcorn and move onto fun cocktails such as I’m the Problem, a Manhattan that arrives in a silver flask secreted away in a hollowed-out book. Lighter appetites – or bar flies – will enjoy the killer smash burgers, while kids go crazy for the gratis gold-wrapping of the child-cut steak, bottomless waffle fries and Ferris Wheel ice cream sundae.
Beudert says that given the suburban location, the team plans to really lean into the family-friendly nature of the restaurant.
When spring 2026 rolls around, diners can look forward to the launch of STEAK’s seasonal alfresco sushi concept, which will take over the renovated patio. For the concept, Beudert is partnering with Rachel Hsu of Sushi 86.
In addition to STEAK in Tremont, Hangry Brands operates Geraci's Slice Shop and Lionheart Coffee downtown and The Yard on 3rd in Willoughby. The team recently took over operations at Society Lounge on East 4th Street and they are expected to open Jolene's Honky Tonk on that strip this week.
