It may be Cleveland’s unofficial holiday movie, but baker Kelsey Elizabeth has only seen A Christmas Story once. “Everybody I know, that’s their quintessential Christmas movie that they watch every year,” says the 28-year-old owner of Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes. So she pays tribute to the cult classic with these adorable leg lamp cookies ($48 for a dozen). After ordering a leg lamp cookie cutter two years ago, she unwrapped her first batch last December, and the orders lit up. Each sugar cookie gets topped with peach and yellow fondant before Elizabeth handpipes the FRAGILE lamp’s black fringe, fishnet stocking and high heels. “People are bored with the same-old, same-old shortbread cookies,” says Elizabeth. “They want to do something fun and interesting.” 720 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake, 440-653-5883; 20033 Detroit Road, Rocky River, 216-767-5633, kelseyelizabethcakes.com
