Shop Local: Find Kitchen Gadgets At The Cookery
After you take a cooking class at The Western Reserve School Of Cooking, the Hudson store has everything you need to recreate your recipes at home.
“Anything we use in the classes, we try to carry here,” Carl says, noting there are a few exceptions such as a couple big-name cookware brands that have exclusive contracts with larger stores. That means you can learn to make pastry in a French Bistro-themed class, for instance, then buy a pie-crust crimper on your way out.
If you’re uncertain exactly what to get, be sure to ask. Catherine is a trained chef and Carl was in the restaurant business for years. “It’s me and my wife and maybe one other person, so you’re getting one-on-one attention,” Carl says, “if you want it, of course.”
An Item We Love: Be the host with the most style with a 24-inch-by-13-inch raw-edge, olive wood charcuterie board ($84).
