Garage Experience by Maelstrom Collaborative Arts
Co-produced by Maelstrom Collaborative Arts, this public art concept will allow attendees to view a series of artistic performances through a drive-in concept by turning a parking garage into a performance gallery for two nights. Featuring works from seven local artists including Elaine Hullihen, Martinique Mims, Samuel McIntosh and others, the performances centers around the themes of connection and experimentation. This event is donation-based, with a sliding scale of $20-$40 per car and there will be a limit of 20 cars per night. Michelle Wolf at Pickwick and Frolic
Laugh it up this weekend with Michelle Wolf. The accomplished comedian has been hitting the stand-up stage since 2017 with jokes that are as blunt as they are hilarious. Previously known for her work on The Daily Show, Wolf has since released her Netflix special, Joke Show in 2019, along with her Netflix-produced sketch show, The Break With Michelle Wolf in 2018. Now, Wolf is on tour with new material and is hitting the Hilarities stage this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Teen Untitled Sketch Show at The Beck Center For The Arts The rise in virtual entertainment during the pandemic gave the Beck Center Youth Theater a chance to try something new. For the first time in the theater’s history, this weekend’s show is completely dreamed up by The Beck Center students. Directed by The Beck Center’s longtime performer and director Patrick Ciamacco, the performance consists of a series of sketches that all the performing students had a part in writing and putting together.
