When the Lafayette family’s patriarch dies, his three grown children return to his decaying Arkansas home to comb through mementos. While rummaging through relics, the siblings argue over lost treasures, past relationships and inherited debt. When they stumble upon a disturbing item, the reunion takes a turn for the worse as they struggle with their family history. Whose Live Anyway?
Start brainstorming prompts because the cast of the Emmy-Award winning TV show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? is coming to the State Theatre April 20. For their live production Whose Live Anyway? Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray bring viewers into the action in this 90-minute show showcasing comedy and songs improvised from audience suggestions. First Cleveland Flea of the Season
Spring is in the air, which means Cleveland's favorite bazaar is ramping up for its sixth season. Held on April 22, the first Cleveland Flea of the year will include more than 130 vendors. With 13 new stands, including Black Lodge Vintage and Urban Sweetness, the event is sure to include some sweet discoveries. The Flea partners with a local nonprofit every month, this April collaborating with Uniforms for Kids, a group that provides uniforms to children from low-income families in Northeast Ohio. Opera: Tristan and Isolde
Get lost in a timeless tale of doomed love at Cleveland Orchestra's rendition of Richard Wagner's 19th century opera Tristan and Isolde. The tale of two ill-fated Arthurian lovers, the operatic version of this classic tale was inspired by Wagner's own amorous turmoil following his affair with German poet Mathilde Wesendonck. In the orchestra's production, renowned dramatic soprano Nina Stemme perfectly captures the feelings longing through song, and is joined by a full cast of internationally acclaimed singers. Sung in German accompanied by projected English subtitles, conductor Franz Welser-Möst leads the cast through a narrative bursting with angst, desire and tragic romance. $41-$122. Night Ride on the Towpath Trail
See a different perspective on a beautiful night ride on the Towpath Trail's Peninsula portion. Starting at 8 p.m., the journey will kick off Century Cycles' 24th season of evening rides on the Towpath Trail. Bring your favorite bike, helmet and a headlight to light your way down the dark path on this ride open to all skill levels. Starting at the Station Road Bridge Trailhead, off of Riverview Road in Brecksville, the ride will be seven miles of fun to Rockside Road and back.
