Danny Lyon: The Destruction of Lower Manhattan
When noted American photographer Danny Lyon returned to his hometown of New York in 1966, he saw decay, boarded-up buildings and an abandoned, lifeless atmosphere. After learning that the 60-acre area he was observing was slated for an urban renewal, he knew he had to document its transition. At this Cleveland Museum of Art exhibit, explore 52 of Lyon's photographs to chart the rebirth of one of America's greatest cities through the eyes of a native. Free.
