Biodiversity Treasure Hunt at the Carol H. Sweet Nature Center

On every Sunday from April through October, family nature hikes begin at the Carol H. Sweet Nature Center to explore the Mentor Marsh, but this week in particular is a call to capture such treasures. The Ohio Flags of Honor Farewell Tour at Middleburg Heights City Hall
Another reminder of Memorial Day's true meaning is The Ohio Flags of Honor Traveling Memorial. This procession honors Ohioans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Members of Rolling Thunder's Ohio Chapter 8, part of the non-profit prisoner of war and missing in action advocacy group, will process into Middleburg Heights. The escort begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Northbound rest area on 1-71, mile marker 225. Attendees are invited to line the path and wave the flag in honor of the fallen soldiers. Since finding inspiration in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s encyclopedic collections as a teen, Norwalk-native Laura Owens has influenced the realms of art and painting for more than two decades.
