If jumping from 60-foot towers and soaring through the trees at speeds up to 30 mph don’t seem daring enough, Lake Erie Canopy Tours has found a way to add a little extra zip to your next zip lining experience: a 35 to 40 foot simulated free-fall. It’s an optional ending to the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake’s new 25-acre guided canopy tours. “You go to the very top of that last tower and strap in with your harness system and jump off,” says general manager Eric Frantz. “It stops you right before you get to the ground. It’s a really exciting way to exit.” There’s a lot to get your heart racing along the way as well, including swinging sky bridges, a side-by-side double zip and stunning views of Geneva State Park and Lake Erie. Adventurous souls can opt for a solo, unguided challenge ropes course with obstacles and zip lines ranging from easy to extreme, while kids can try a 4- to 6-foot kids’ challenge ropes course where parents can walk alongside. Eh, watch and learn, right? 4888 N. Broadway, Geneva-on-the-Lake, 440-466-7100, lakeeriecanopytours.com
