Amelia’s by the Farmer’s Rail
This dark, moody and literally underground spot makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret — like a speakeasy, except it’s an entire restaurant. Creative plates and luxury libations lend an air of opulence to the entire experience. 2231 Front St., Lower Level, Cuyahoga Falls, 330-576-3333, ameliaslounge.com

Birdietown
You wouldn't expect such great bites from Lakewood's newest "eatertainment" space, which features two custom, high-end mini-golf courses over two stories. But Emily Campion, voted one of Cleveland's Best Chefs by our readers, delivers a well-executed menu of pork belly ($23), coconut crusted snapper ($24) and other American classics. 12501 Madison Ave., Lakewood, birdietowncle.com

Club Room at Fidelity Hotel
Executive chef Dan Young, who trained at Flour and under Michael Symon, reminds us that Downtown hotels used to be one of the best places in Cleveland to grab a bite. The menu isn't too pinned down, with options as diverse as French steak frites ($50) and The Westside Market Platter ($36) with peirogies, kielbasa, kraut and more coming from the iconic market. 1940 E. Sixth St., Cleveland, fidelityhotelcle.com

Le Burger 4304
A transplant from Minneapolis, Le Burger entered the Intro building in December. Quickly, its namesake Le Burger ($13.50) — made with cru boeuf, perfectly melted Cooper’s fromage american cheese, topped with pickles layered in the Le Sauce — justifiably went viral. But it also offers steak ($32) or chicken frites ($28), gluten-free options and a sleek, minimalist interior. 2407 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, leburgercleveland.com
