If you’re a busy professional looking to tame your mane on a time crunch, then Play Salon is here to help. The new Playhouse Square spot opened its doors in late May offering a variety of services such as color, keratin conditioning treatments, facials and eyebrow waxing to those who are always on the go. Here are three reasons why the salon is a cut above.

Cool Factor
Inspired by the neighborhood’s art deco feel, the 1,100-square-foot space with six styling stations is decked out with exposed brick walls and gold accents. Shiatsu-massaging shampoo chairs add an extra touch of class. “Excess is good,” says co-owner Michael Wichmann. “People want to be surrounded by luxury, hipness and coolness.”

Quick Fix
The salon offers a one-hour Schwarzkopf hair color (starting at $60, depending on length of hair) — otherwise known as Lunchtime Color. “We can do single process in one hour and change your whole look,” Wichmann says. “You can go to lunch looking one way and then come out like a completely different person.”

Hang Ten
Play Salon has products to help make bad hair days smoother. As the humidity rises, Wichmann recommends using Bumble & Bumble’s Surf Spray ($27) to keep beachy waves in place. “It’s a great sea salt spray that gives texture to the hair,” he says. 2051 E. 14th St., Cleveland, 216-465-4449
