We all love that summertime glow. But skin care is even more important when you’re spending a lot of time in the sun.

Aesthetician Leia Hohenfeld’s Lakewood skin care studio Flower Power gives you a natural, personalized boost to your skin. “I wanted to make a space that used natural, vegan, small-batch products,” she says. “But I also wanted it to be a body-positive space.”

Here are three services that will get your skin ready for summer.

Personalized Facial

Choose from a 30-, 60- or 90-minute facial ($70-$105) where Hohenfeld takes a deep look at your skin, then mixes the perfect treatment. She uses ingredients such as kale and spinach for loads of vitamin C and carotenoids that can help prevent skin damage. “This treatment is so rich in vitamins that it can actually boost the skin’s strength,” Hohenfeld says. “Your skin will be ready for being outside.”

Waxing

Forget razor bumps and harsh chemical hair removers. Flower Power makes waxing a breeze with a plant-based wax infused with shea butter and vitamin E so your skin stays hydrated.

“It’s nice for when you’re going to be in a bathing suit or just don’t want to deal with shaving because you’re not going to have bumps or irritation, so you’ll feel more confident and comfortable,” she says.

Back Facial

Your shoulders and back can get plenty of sun when sporting a tank top or bathing suit, but this 30-minute back facial ($70) can help strengthen those sunburn hot spots.

Hohenfeld applies a custom mixture of all-natural products to your back — think organic rose hip. “Not only is it rich in vitamin C, but it also has L-ascorbic acid, which helps with tissue repair,” she says. “You’ll still need some SPF when outside for long periods of time, but this is going to help your skin stay strong with the nutrients it needs.”
