Go ahead and make your party animal jokes. But with more than 15 bands spread across the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s 183 acres, Twilight at the Zoo is always a wild time. As the summer food and music bash marks its 25th anniversary Aug. 3, we swing into the festivities with a few tips.

Snap a selfie with Sam.
Nearly 20 life-size Sam Adams cutouts are scattered across zoo grounds for primetime party pics. But act fast: guests pilfer these party favors throughout the evening.

Jam with these animals.
Blues bands Armstrong Bearcat and Joe Bell & the Swing Lizards have been performing at Twilight every year since the first celebration in 1993.

Bask in the glow.
Add a little culture to your night with 40 larger-than-life, lantern-lit sculptures throughout the park for the zoo’s Asian Lantern Festival, which runs thru Aug. 19.
