The Beck Center’s The Nutcracker
For those missing Christmas already, this classic ballet transports you right back to the holidays. The Beck Center’s ballet students have been eager to show their performance of The Nutcracker, and this weekend viewers get a chance to purchase the livestream of the fully staged show. The 60-minute ballet features the beloved tale about a girl falling into a world of toys, as the audience follows her story through various choreographed numbers. You can also choose a series of tickets depending on if you want to do a solo viewing, a small movie night with the family or something in-between. $12-$35, March 12, 10 a.m. & 7:30 p.m., March 13, 7:30 p.m., March 14, 3 p.m., beckcenter.org

Brite Winter: TwiBright Zone Day of The Hollow Dead Weenies
Although the snow is nowhere to be seen, Brite Winter is still keeping the party going with various engaging virtual shows and performances. Episode three of their TwiBright Zone series airs this Friday and features local bands King Buu, Luvabstract and The Scenic Route, all playing live from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Plus, the event includes various performances from local artist Susie Underwood, sketch comedy group Aldous Mustache and local artist Haley Morris. Free, March 12, 7 p.m., britewinter.com

Laura Owens: Rerun at Transformer Station
Laura Owens is an experimental artist known for her work using oil paints, screen printing, charcoal and other mediums. Her current exhibit, Laura Owens: Rerun, features some of her old works as well new pieces created through a collaboration with nine high school students participating in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Arts Mastery after-school program. LIVE! streamed @ Silver Hall: Moises Borges Quartet The Maltz Performing Arts Center continues to stream various bands, artists and musical acts through its LIVE! streamed @ Silver Hall series. With musicians that range from jazz to modern rock, each performance showcases a wide variety of local artists around the area by giving them a chance to play from Silver Hall’s historic stage. This Friday, tune in for a special performance from the Moises Borges Quartet, headed by Brazilian jazz guitarist and vocalist, Moises Borges. Maple Sugar Days and Pancake Breakfast at Hale Farm & Village
No better way to learn about the art of syrup making than to try it out (and taste it) yourself. The Western Reserve Historical Society hosts a special event at Hale Farm & Village that outlines every step of the production of maple syrup through outdoor demonstrations: from tapping trees to the process of boiling the sap into syrup. A filling pancake breakfast will be provided for eating on-site or for carryout. The Marketplace at Hale Farm & Village will also be open for shopping during the event, where visitors can pick up some Ohio-made syrup, sauces, candies and more. $7-$17, March 13-21,wrhs.org/events
