Cruise down to the Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-In Theatre to take in a classic Americana pastime. Pull up to one of two screens at the North Ridgeville drive-in and watch summer blockbusters under the stars. “Family has always come into play at the drive-in,” says owner Deb Sherman. Especially for Sherman, whose late husband built Aut-O-Rama in 1965 with his father. When her husband died, the outdoor theater was left to Sherman and her five children. Although many drive-ins shuttered with the popularity of digital films, this family operation has stayed open thanks to its nostalgic roots and emphasis on good old-fashioned family time. “Some people see each other every week, especially if they have kids, and they watch movies together,” Sherman says. 33395 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, 440-327-9595, autoramadrivein.com
