This month, we’re over the moon for the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s giant leap for mankind. On July 20, 1969, the Wapakoneta, Ohio, native became the first man to set foot on the moon. Check out these five lunar events across Ohio in honor of Armstrong’s out-of-this-world achievement.

Cleveland

Wapakoneta

Armstrong’s hometown comes alive with the 50th anniversary Summer Moon Festival that includes a parade, live musical performances and moon-inspired food such as Lucky Steer’s CinnaMoon pancakes topped with cream cheese. New Concord

Columbus

Logan
