Why She’s Interesting: Geeta Minocha’s path has been anything but linear. With degrees in business and law, she’s built a career examining how systems of power, finance and health intersect. After founding the Ohio Public Banking Coalition, she expanded her impact through pro bono legal work and health equity research. Modeling remains a creative outlet that balances her academic and policy pursuits. Now based in New York City and pursuing a medical degree at Stanford University, she believes meaningful change begins with understanding how structures work and where they fail.
Modeling Mishaps: A spontaneous moment in New York City pulled her back into the modeling world. After being scouted from the audience to fill in for a missing model during New York Fashion Week, she walked two runway shows in a single day, reigniting her passion for fashion. “There were girls already on the runway, and I’m backstage frantically getting fitted into the gown. It was such a surreal experience.” Since then, Minocha has modeled for numerous designers and artists, including a collaboration with stylist and painter Eleonora Volpe.
Fond Memories: Self-described as deeply sentimental, she has kept a “memento bag” since college, filled with letters, ticket stubs, playbills and other keepsakes from meaningful moments.
Deep Roots: Growing up between Florida and Ohio made for an unconventional childhood full of contrasts: beaches and blizzards, small-town warmth and big-city dreams. In Ocala, her mom’s medical community felt like family, while summers in Middleburg Heights meant grandparents and plenty of local charm. “I’m Midwestern to my core. It’s Ohio over everything for me, so I’m gonna come back sooner rather than later.”
