Pittsburgh antique jewelry
Ever think of turning a set of antique keys into a bracelet? That's just one of the one-of-a-kind pieces of art that's part of "Transformation 3: Contemporary Works in Jewelry and Small Metals" at the Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh. The exhibit, on display through March 23, comprises 49 works, ranging from neckpieces to teapots, forged by artists from around the country. Workshops on metals and jewelry will be held throughout the duration of the show. Russian art in Columbus
The Pontifical College Josephinum seminary in Columbus is showcasing 84 hand-painted Russian icons spanning the late 17th to early 20th centuries. "Heaven on Earth: The Holy Art of Imperial Russia," on exhibit through Feb. 10, chronicles the history -- and artistry -- of these sacred wooden panels depicting Biblical scenes. Many of the artifacts, once fixtures in Russian Orthodox households, were produced by the renowned House of Fabergé. The college is located at 7625 N.
