Burlesque's wild, raunchy, titillating performances have been experiencing a resurgence in popularity since the '90s. But for local performer Bella Sin (left), many are still confused by what burlesque is even after seeing her show at the Beachland Ballroom. "It's hard for some to understand I have a life after the stage," she says. She's hoping the new book It's All That Glitters will help clear things up. LA-based photographer Brian C. Janes traveled 14,000 miles across the country documenting burlesque performers in their homes and asked Bella to participate. She jumped at the chance. "It was like a dream," she says. "Burlesque means everything to me. It takes all my time, money, love and devotion."
