2. Harvey Pekar’s Cleveland by Harvey Pekar and Joseph Remnant — One of the last great works by Cleveland's defining storyteller, this 112-page graphic novel mixes Cleveland's history with autobiographical elements and profiles of its most interesting characters.

3. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng — The 2018 novel documents life in Shaker Heights, ruminating on class disparity and race relations through multiple narrators.

4. Playing With Fire by Michael Symon and Douglas TrattnerCarnivorous cooking at its finest, the city's iconic chef and prolific food writer combine to showcase Cleveland BBQ on the grill, smoker and fireplace. 

5. Super Boys by Brad Ricca — The culmination of 10 years of research in Cleveland's libraries, the city's homegrown superhero and his makers get the biography treatment in this definitive history. 

6. You’re Welcome, Cleveland: How I Helped LeBron James Win a Championship and Save a City by Scott Raab — The follow-up to his LeBron-bashing debut, Whore of Akron, this sports-fan memoir is a celebration of the end of the city's 52-year championship drought told in Raab's signature self-deprecating style.
