Around 5:30 p.m., Howe Meadow explodes with kids. They blow bubbles, play kickball and throw Frisbees while waiting with their parents for the 6:30 p.m. start of each concert. The ’08 series includes performances by roots-rockers Lost State of Franklin (above, June 11), Celtic trio Brigid’s Cross (July 2), Cajun group Mo’ Mojo Mama (July 30), reggae act Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band (July 9) and percussion-and-theater ensemble HeartBEAT Afrika (Aug. 2).
