Once a UK pub rocker, and nicknamed Basher for his tough production style, singer-songwriter Nick Lowe is touring with his acoustic guitar in hand to show off the mellow vibe he’s embracing after 40 years in the business. (He’s even admitted that he “never liked any of that punk rock music.”) Along with some oldies, the “Cruel To Be Kind” singer will perform tunes off his 2007 album At My Age, a collection filled with biting lyrics that make you think he hasn’t totally lost his edge.
