Best Fitness Center: Pedal + Power
Just one year after opening its doors in West Park, Pedal + Power is already building a loyal following of spinners. Owner Jeannie Malloy, a high school English teacher in Berea, brought nearly two decades of spin instruction experience to her dream studio, which opened in June 2025. Housed in a reimagined warehouse designed with her husband — a contractor with a business in the same area — the space feels equal parts industrial and inviting, with bold murals, pristine equipment and a welcoming energy that draws in new clients daily.
Malloy and her team of 10 instructors offer a packed schedule, with up to nine classes every day of the week, ranging from pure cycling to strength-focused sessions. Every class is set to upbeat music and designed for all fitness levels, with easy modifications and zero intimidation. Riders can clip in or use sneakers. Participants leave feeling strong and energized.
Must Try: The standout is the signature Pedal + Power combo class. This unique format blends high-energy spin with strength training using dumbbells, TRX straps or medicine balls. A typical session splits time between the bike and the floor, delivering a full-body workout that never feels repetitive.
