Ultimate, the fast-paced Frisbee game popularized on college campuses, is a summer staple here. More than 400 people participated in the Cleveland Disc Association’s league last year in Gates Mills. This summer, after almost 15 years at Hawken Upper School, the league expands to include southern (Sagamore Hills) and western (Strongsville) venues. Because of the expansion, the CDA is bumping its roster from 18 to 24 teams. The 10-game season takes place Wednesday evenings from June to early August. There’s no better way to end your hump day than by going ho for a D, or tossing a hammer for a score. (Don’t worry, you’ll have the lingo in no time.) Registration ends when space is full, probably late May. For information, go to www.cleveland-disc.org.
